Many organizations start out by telling us that they already have a vision but they have trouble executing—not necessarily so! A key reason for poor execution is the lack of a robust, fully supported picture of what success looks like…a values-based, rich vision translated into a clear, powerful new business model that drives the creation of a coherent, simple-to-say strategy. Instead they struggle with an “air sandwich”—a generic vision statement on the top (e.g.,“we will be number one and highly successful”) and an exhausting list of actions and initiatives on the bottom with nothing in between.

Paradoxically, the imaginative visions and powerful business models and strategies that allow our clients to leap into a new era of higher opportunity begin in a well-grounded assessment. This is more than a traditional SWOT analysis. A highly creative assessment process uncovers the original energy and spirit of the organization, travels into the future economic/cultural/technological zeitgeist to reveal undiscovered possibilities, and taps into the values and passions of its people. Only in a rich soil of deep assessment will the seeds of a healthy vision, business model and strategy grow. When this happens the transformational results look like magic.
