The Star Child and the Turtle Doves
It is the time of the long cold night,
When stars best display their brilliance and beauty,
Reminding us of our ancient origins.
A star child, a rare and precious being,
Reminds us of our deeper compassion, Our gentler selves,
And the everyday miracles sitting at our feet.
We look up and we look down.
We sometimes see and sometimes we don’t.
But the miracles are always there.
It is the time of the long cold night.
It is a time to see and remember
The star child who looks through our eyes.
